AHHS Yellow Jacket Band March-A-Thon

The AHHS Yellow Jacket Marching Band will be marching and performing in a parade on Saturday, September 7, 2013.  Our route will take us from our school through our neighborhood and down Hulen Street ending at Hulen and Bellaire Drive.  Along this route you will observe music, marching, and color guard performances. We will step off at 9:00 A.M. and finish up at 12:00 P.M.

This march-a-thon will be one of our fund raisers for this year to support our band and color guard throughout the marching season and on through our spring concert season as well.  Each year we encounter expenses that FWISD does not cover, and our band and band boosters work to raise the funds we need to keep this organization strong.

Each band and color guard member works hard to perfect our music and shows for not only football games, but parades, UIL, and concert season performances.  We need support from our AHHS neighbors and friends to “keep the music going.”

Supporters who pledge $500 or more will have their business featured here on our Band Blog Page for this school year.  This blog is the information center for our band members and their parents.

We also welcome pledges of other amounts and will be very grateful for your support this year of our Yellow Jacket Band.

Arlington Heights High School Band Booster Club is a 501©3 non-profit organization.  All donations to our general fund are tax deductable.

Band Camp Begins Monday, 8/5 @ 12:00pm

Because of an avoidable event, Band Camp will start at 12:00pm with registration in the hallway outside of the band hall.  Camp will conclude on Monday at 3:30pm.  The remainder of the camp will be as originally scheduled: 7:00am - 3:30pm.

Dress for Hot Weather: Light colored t-shirts, shorts, tennis shoes, hats, sun glasses.  No jeans, no flip-flops/sandals.

Bring: Instrument, music and flips folders with lyres, pencil, LARGE clearly labeled water bottle filled with cold water, sun screen, bug repellent, positive attitude.
